How to create your Solana Token

Step-by-step guide to launch your own meme coin on Solana. No coding required.

Before you start: Connect your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) in the top-right corner and make sure you have some SOL to cover network and platform fees.

1

Step 1 — Basic token info

Name, symbol, and image

On the first screen you enter the details that identify your token.

Token Name

The full name of your token as it will appear on sites and in wallets. Example: "Meme Coin".

Token Symbol

The short ticker, e.g. "MEME" or "BTC". Usually 3–5 letters. Shown in charts and listings.

Token Image

Your token icon. Click to upload or drag and drop (PNG or JPG, max 5MB). This image appears in wallets and on token pages.

Then click Next → to continue.

2

Step 2 — Decimals, supply & description

Numbers and metadata

Here you set how divisible the token is, total supply, and a short description.

Token Decimals

How many decimal places the token can have. With 9 decimals you can hold 0.000000001 of a token. 9 is common and is pre-filled.

Total Supply

The total number of tokens that will ever exist (e.g. 1,000,000,000). This stays fixed unless you change authorities in Step 3.

Token Description

A short text explaining what your token is and what it's for. Shown in explorers and token info pages.

Use Previous to go back or Next to continue.

3

Step 3 — Links & token authorities

Social links and optional revokes

On the last step you add links and choose token "authorities."

Social links

Enter your Website, Telegram, Twitter, and Discord URLs. This helps people find and trust your project.

Modify Creator Information

By default the creator in the token metadata is "LaunchToken". Turn this on to set your own creator info.

Token authorities (Revoke)

Each option can be "Selected". Selecting means you revoke that authority — you give up that power over the token. This makes the token more fixed and transparent.

  • Revoke Freeze — Freeze Authority lets you freeze holders' tokens. Revoking it means no one can freeze tokens. Common for more decentralized tokens.
  • Revoke Mint — Mint Authority lets you create more tokens later. Revoking it locks total supply forever; no one can mint more.
  • Revoke Update — Update Authority lets you change name, symbol, image, and description later. Revoking it makes metadata immutable.

When done, click Create Token. Your wallet will open to approve the transaction. Confirm and wait for confirmation — your token will be live on Solana.
